We strive to provide you with the highest quality maps using the most reliable data.

Through partnerships with a wide variety of associations, federations, government ministries and other data suppliers, we bring you memorable moments in the outdoors.

If you are paying in person, we also accept payments by cash and Interac.

If you are a retailer, payments can also be made by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

Cause

  • The unlock file has not been imported in Garmin BaseCamp, or an antivirus application has removed it

To Fix

Much like maps for road networks, certain of our maps contain routability functions. This is stated in each product containing routability functions.

If you require assistance installing your product, we offer a remote support service.

Your map can be viewed on one GPS unit at a time. It cannot be viewed on multiple GPS units simultaneously, though you can transfer your preprogrammed card from one GPS unit to another.

A downloadable map cannot be transferred to or activated for another GPS unit

If you've changed GPS units, please contact us.

We strive to provide the best service to you and your input enables us to improve the accuracy of our data and we welcome any feedback.

Certain products contain transparent and non-transparent (routable) maps.

  • If you wish to use the routable map with turn by turn directions, please enable only the non-transparent map and disable all other maps.
  • If you have a topographic map (eg. TrakMaps TOPO) you'd like to display below your transparent map, please enable that topographic map as well as the transparent map and disable all other maps. Please note that turn by turn directions will not work with this setup.

Causes

  • Files on the preprogrammed card have been manipulated

  • The wrong GPS unit ID was entered during activation
  • The product was transferred to another GPS unit
  • Your GPS unit has been replaced

Choose a Suitable Routing Mode

If you plan on following turn-by-turn routing on your GPS unit, make sure to choose a suitable routing mode.
Otherwise, the GPS unit may generate a straight line as the route.

  1. Choose Setup or Tools or Settings
  2. Choose Routing

Options may include:

  • Guidance Method: On Road For Time or On Road For Distance
  • Calculate Routes for: Car, ATV, etc
  • Lock On Road: Auto
  • Avoidance Setup: specify what types of roads to avoid

Full Installation Instructions

Please choose your product's format below:

Your product is already on the preprogrammed card. This comes with an SD adapter if your GPS unit supports it, or if you wish to view your product in Garmin BaseCamp.
You can transfer your map to as many microSD or SD cards as you wish. Please note that the product will only work on GPS unit(s) you've activated the product for.

Yes! Just make sure the new GPS unit is compatible.

Yes! Register and install/update your map with TrakUpdate.

Windows (7 or more recent) and Mac OS (OS X 10.13 High Sierra or more recent)

Your serial number has the following format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

It's located inside the TrakMaps product case (left-hand side) or in My Account.

If you cannot locate your TrakMaps serial number, please contact us.

Your GPS unit's firmware may need to be updated to be able to read preprogrammed cards over 4 GB in size. Make sure to remove the preprogrammed card from your GPS unit during the process.

Update firmware

Our topographic maps do not contain water depths, however we also offer marine charts.

Your map can be viewed on one GPS unit at a time. It cannot be viewed on multiple GPS units simultaneously, though you can move your preprogrammed card from one GPS unit to another.

Register your product, view its details and check for updates from My Account.

On a GPS unit, additional details on a specific area can be viewed by selecting the spot you'd like. This procedure varies from one GPS unt to another. You can find your specific model's manual on Lowrance's website.

Your TrakMaps serial number has the following format: (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)

Located inside the TrakMaps product case (left-hand side, behind instructions sheet).

If you cannot locate your TrakMaps serial number, please contact us.

TrakMaps and Raymarine have officially partnered together to begin producing TrakMaps content for Raymarine devices. TrakMaps has begun development and will begin launching these products in Spring 2016.

We use waterproof and tear-proof synthetic paper, providing you with a durable and high-quality product that will withstand almost any conditions. It can be written on with a lead pencil with the possibility of erasing if necessary Please note that there could be slight fading of colour.

They are PDF maps which work with Avenza Maps for iOS & Android. Choose the area and we'll deliver it straight to your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.

If your mobile device has an integrated GPS, it will show you where you are on the map in real time if you are currently on the map.

When asked to open the downloaded file with an app, choose the option for Avenza Maps.
